RULES OF THE I LEAGUE WORLD TEAM PADELThis document will lay the foundations for the I Liga World Team Padel that will begin next Sunday, February 5.
As it is the first championship to be organized, the bases may be modified in subsequent editions to improve the system.1.
OBJECTIVEThe main objective, as it has always been in the group, is to have a good time playing paddle tennis and meeting people.
But it will also try to get a little more incentive with the league system, and that the participants enjoy an added bonus to the matches themselves, as well as make the meetings have more even, exciting and enjoyable matches, as far as possible.
possible.2.- PARTICIPANTSAll present and future members of the WhatsApp World Team Pádel group, managed by Javier Linares, will participate in the League.3.- CONFERENCESThe League will consist of 20 days, and each day consists of 4 games.
Usually between 4 and 6 games are played in the hour and a half that we play, so I have taken the fewest number possible, which also, being even, has a series of advantages when counting for the classification.4.- SYSTEM OF CROSSES AND GAMES.● In each round, the players who participate in A and B will be qualified, depending on their position in the leaderboard (half of the players that are higher will be A, and the other half will be B for that round)● The first couples will be obtained by joining a player A with a player B,starting by forming a pair with the first A and the last B, then thesecond A and the penultimate B, so on until all the couples are formed● The first couple will face the second in the first match, the third will face the fourth, and so on.● Subsequently, the winning couple will go up the track and the loser will go down the track.
In any case, the mixing system will be followed, that is, the couple that played together in the previous match will separate, and new A-B couples will be formed with the other couple that arrives on the court.● The matches will be played as usual, the first court in which one of the couples reaches 5 games will call time.● The system of tie points in the games will be decided by Advantage (there is no golden ball at the moment) to follow the tradition of the group.
Later, the participants will decide if they want to change this.5.- SCORING SYSTEMThe scoring system will follow the following precepts:a) On each day, the number of times each player has won will be recorded.b) The score of each player in the championship will be based on their winning rate, which will be obtained using the formula𝑉𝑖𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑠4c) Minimum participation: Only those participants who have played at least 10 days (half) will integrate the final classification for the championship.
This is done with the goal that it does not happen that a player plays once, gets a good result that day, and is first forever.d) Bonus of regularity (Optional): Each player will be added a bonus ofregularity of 0.2 x Participationse) The player with the best score at the end of the 20 days will be the World Padel Team champion, and will take our love and admiration (well, love already has it even if he doesnt win)6.- CHAMPIONS BY PAIRS (OPTIONAL)As a final climax, the first and second classified will play a complete match against the third and fourth classified to determine the champion couple
